On Wednesday, 13 November 2002, the Republic of Korea ratified the Rome Statute, thereby becoming the 83rd State Party to the treaty. On July 1, 2002 the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court entered into force. The Court will be fully functional by mid-2003. 집단살해죄의 방지와 처벌에 관한 협약 체결일자 및 장소 1948년 12월 09일파리에서 작성 발효일 1951년 01월 12일

제 2 조 본 협약에서 집단살해라 함은 국민적, 인종적, 민족적 또는 종교적 집단을 전부 또는 일부 파괴할
의도로서 행하여진 아래의 행위를 말한다.

(a) 집단구성원을 살해하는 것
(b) 집단구성원에 대하여 중대한 육체적 또는 정신적인 위해를 가하는 것
(c) 전부 또는 부분적으로 육체적 파괴를 초래할 목적으로 의도된 생활조건을 집단에게 고의로 과하
는 것
(d) 집단내에 있어서의 출생을 방지하기 위하여 의도된 조치를 과하는 것
(e) 집단의 아동을 강제적으로 타 집단에 이동시키는 것
